What is a Doula?
A doula is a skilled, trained support person providing expectant parents with emotional, physical, and information support through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
There are many types of doulas - the most common is a Birth Doula who provides laboring mothers with support during the birth of their child. Research shows that doulas can help mothers have healthier, happier, more satisfying birth experiences.
